The Lifepak® CR2 is a semi automatic defibrillator that replaces the CR Plus semi-automatic unit. As a semi automatic defibrillator, it is designed to support first responders in administering potentially life-saving trea™ent during sudden cardiac arrest.
First responders are prompted to activate the electric shock by a press of a button after the device advises it is safe to do so. With the ability to transfer information via telephone networks and data, the Lifepak® CR2 is able to submit event and patient data to hospitals and emergency services in real time. The Lifepak® CR2 is considered one of the fastest defibrillators and can analyse heart rhythms to decipher whether a casualty is ready to receive an electric shock to the heart.
Ensuring ultimate usability, the device includes both pictorial and visual instructions that support the device operator during defibrillation. This also includes CPR coaching as well as a metronome sound to keep compressions in time. It also features a carry bag that affords greater convenience when transporting the defibrillator from its storage point to an incident in progress.
For those maintaining the device, the Lifepak® CR2 includes a 4-year battery and pad life from the date of manufacture. Patient and event data can also be transferred via mobile networks to ensure information is submitted to nearby hospitals and emergency services.
